SH Hume/SD End Day 2

Today will be a random thought day....no particular order of events, just stuff that comes to my mind as I'm typing...

Getting a question asked about a Bible verse from an unexpected asker is a huge blessing...

Acting like a teenager is getting harder as each year goes by, but I still love it...

I love the fact that God and Moses made the Israelites melt down the golden calf, spread it's ashes in water, and then made the Israelites drink it...

A line that is ringing in my head from the video, with Moses talking to the Israelites... "You have traded the Invisible Truth, for a lie that you can see!"...wow...how often do we do that...

Our kids are getting along really well, with each other and other students...

I talked to our Junior Class today...(and our 1 Senior, go Arianna Flatt!)...they haven't done ANYTHING wrong...I've been bragging about them for two years...I challenged them to be the leaders in taking what God wants to do in our youth ministry to a whole new level...they will set the tone for the next two years...

One of my former youth is now a youth pastor, with his 3rd child due ANY DAY. He and his family are here with his youth group...Tim Brown, love you man...(Caleb always called him "Big Tall Tim", cuz he's like 6-5)

Most of the youth pastors have their families here with them, and are staying in "flex housing"...an they're only here for 1 week, lol...maybe next year...I miss my wife and son

I'm leveling off health wise..not going downhill anymore...it's manageable...and God is good!

HUGE group of kids/leaders went to "Cup of 'Yo" today during free time...a walkable trip to a yogurt shop...good stuff!

Tyler Houle and I signed for a foosball tournament tonight, but dropped out when they said it was going to be "singles" and not "teams"...for those that don't know, Tyler and I are 80-2 all time as a team on the youth room foosball table...before the tourney started, we did win 5 straight "warm up" games...

We played Hacky Sack instead...got a big game going tonight...

There is an AWESOME cross-grade-level bonding within our guys that has begun to develop...please pray this continues...when young men in today's society learn what it is to be real with each other, and walk the path of Christ together, GREAT things happen...

Really appreciate Taylor Bader helping me out earlier...won't go into details, but he did a simple act of service that went a LONG way

Been asking a number of our "first time" campers if it's living up to the promise of an awesome camp...all smiles and thumbs up!

I'll try to give more of a "recap" type of blog tomorrow...be praying for tomorrow, and all the elements throughout the day that will lead up to "decision night" tomorrow night...I love seeing young people commit their lives to Christ!

Praying God will use 330Plan (the worship band), Red and Vanessa (our missions speakers), Rec, Service project, a trip to the beach, a good meal, Chris Simning (our evening speaker), conversation between students and counselors, and/or any other number of factors that He has prepared to see Eternity change tomorrow night, as students receive Christ's forgiveness!

Gonna try to get some sleep...
