END of Day 1 at JH HUME/SD

We had a very smooth trip! We were the first church to check in which was a huge bonus. They were limiting kids to only sign up for two extracurriclar (sp?) activities until all the churches arrived, but can you believe it, because I was so organized (yeah, me!) they let all of our kids sign up for everything...pretty sweet...

tonight is the "Opener", an amazing production that really sets the tone for the whole evening. We are really excited about what God's going to do here this week! I'll write at least once a day, maybe twice...feel free to pass this onto other parents or those that sponsored our students and I'll try to give a brief re-cap of the days activities :)"OPENER" ==== AMAZING!!!

our kids did awesome at being the very first ones in line for the show (like 45 mins early) and we had the front two rows...so awesome!

free euro bungie and mechanical bull on first night...great stuff...

Speaker is great...breakfast in the morning, first day of rec (relay races) and then off to wakeboarding! Yep...this old guy is gonna give it a go!

As I sit in my dorm room, overlooking the Pacific Ocean, I am so excited about what's going to happen in the next few days here on the campus of Pt. Loma University.

Be blessed!

Awesome... I am praying for our youth (and adults) that this week will help firm up Christ's grip on the lives of all who are attending! To go into this world and lead, teach, and walk with Christ until he comes for us again. I also pray that those who have not accepted him feel the Spirit in there lives and take the step of faith that will secure there place with Him in the heavens! And THANK YOU to all the leaders that are with them. And just a "little” jealous… Would love to be there to see it all!

I pray that God allows each junior higher to have receptive spirits towards eveything that comes at them this week. May God bless the adults with strength, energy, health, wisdom, and an adventurous spirit.

I'm praying for a safe and fun trip for all (sounds like it's going great so far!). I'm praying that God moves in ways that we can't even fathom as He prepares these kids (and the adults) for blessings beyond your wildest imagination. Thank you for your love of these kids and for your ministry. May God bless this time that you have together, and may the light of His Spirit shine not only during your time away, but also when you return safely home.
