what a great week...the students really learned about God, Worship, expressing it, having a reason for their actions, a purpose for living, and so much more. They really bonded well as a group, which Lord willing will sustain us into the next year as we continue to get the Good News out to their not-yet-saved friends...

Another great day at the beach, an outside bbq chicken dinner, incredible time of worship (I truly wish you each could have seen them as an entire youth group along with 400+ other students absolutely going NUTS for Christ!), a "Victory Circle" sharing time and then one final cabin time in small groups...

God is so good! Thank you all for your prayers, and please continue to pray that we are blessed with travel mercies on the way home, and that our time of loading and pulling out will go smoothly...

We'll be back by 7:00pm hopefully, which puts me home by 8:00-8:30pm...I'll say hi to Liz and Caleb on Saturday, while making all the final preps to do this all over again on Sunday with 39 Senior High Students, and 6 staff leaders! I can't wait!

We had an great chapel this morning, with our kids once again doing all of the motions to HCC's VBS of last week's song "Never Let Go"...awesome!

Then we met for a church time where students were able to share how they've grown this week, with the overwhelming theme coming from them seeming to be how many new friends they'd made in the group...this pack of 18 crazy JH'ers is really bonding together! Praise God!

Then, for the last day of REC, it was....THE GREAT RACE

here's the first half of the coverage...

Strategy, intensity, a little luck, and a lot of cheez whiz helped bring home FIRST PLACE (out of 16 teams!) for the Monkey Bots...a team that included Dennis and 5 of the HCC boys...should be fun to see if they can finish in the top 4 overall for the week...

here's the 2nd half...

From there it was off to Luigi's Pizza...a special place that I got permission to take our kids to instead of the normal lunch...huge pieces of pizza right at Mission Beach...

for the rest of the day it's off to the beach for some, catching up on naps for others, and one last night of chapel followed by a "victory circle" time in the Greek Outdoor Amphitheatre tonight...

Tomorrow morning it will be packing, eating breakfast, a special time that I do something cool for the kids, and then down to the beach where we may or may not have a student or two getting baptized in the ocean...be praying for that :)

Be blessed!
